Greenville Based Franchise Investment Group Announces the Groundbreaking of Global Energy Franchise, South Carolina's First Solar Systems Manufacturing Facility

Global Energy Franchise is pleased to announce The Genesis Project to residents, City, County and State officials regarding the development of a Solar manufacturing facility on Monday, November 21st, 12 Noon at the Former TNS Mills Textile Facility located at 210 Henson Road, in Blacksburg, South Carolina.

With the growing national and global interest in harvesting natural energy, Global Energy Franchise is preparing to champion the State of South Carolina to the forefront of Solar Manufacturing-Assembly and Solar Installations. Global Energy Franchise has embraced the objectives of the Department of Energy and related state and federal agencies to make clean, renewable energy a priority in South Carolina.

Initially, there will be 81 jobs created which will expand to more than 200 jobs over the next four years. Up to 20 additional positions with the corporate office in Greenville will also become available in executive level management, sales, customer service, operations, research and development. Global Energy is dedicated to hiring as many residents of Cherokee County, specifically Blacksburg, to fill these positions as possible. Job-skills training will be conducted in partnership with SC Works, SC Vocational Rehabilitation, and Worklink. Permanent hiring for the manufacturing portion will be conducted in partnership with 5-Star Quality Group of Duncan, South Carolina.

Global Energy Franchise will break down barriers that have traditionally slowed the development of solar energy opportunities in this region by bringing clean energy initiatives to the forefront of the manufacturing and assembly industry. There is unprecedented growth potential for South Carolina in the solar energy field. Global Energy will provide solar system solutions to residents and businesses in South Carolina, with a comprehensive plan to manufacture and assemble photovoltaic panels for other companies around the United States and abroad. Altogether, this project marks a significant step forward for South Carolina and our renewable energy efforts, and we are proud to make the Town of Blacksburg the foundation for the development and delivery of clean, affordable power to the residents of South Carolina.
